Princess learnings....

Jan 9th, 2015

Some days bring with it all the possible dichotomies - elation, depression, success, failure, love, heartbreaks.. As we get older, we are able to observe them without getting overly affected, but when a young princess sees highs and lows within hours, it is heartbreaking for her, and more so for the queen:) And while the queen knows that this is momentary and will pass, sooner than you think, the best thing for the queen to do is to hold her baby and listen, and then hold her a little closer.

So proud of my princess, who is gorgeous inside and out, and who is strong like her mom, who feels and is aware of how she's feeling, but at the same time is learning that she can move on. She is learning that her only responsibility is to be mindful of the kind of person she wants to be, the kind of friend she wants to be, and not worry about the rest.

Heartbreaks in friendship can be so hard and it's harder when you're still a young princess..
Just know my darling, that there's a whole wide world out there,
of relationships waiting to blossom,
of friendships waiting to bloom,
of experiences waiting to happen....

And ya, it's not just princesses who learn from their mothers, sometimes queens learn from their little girls and all the wonderful experiences shared with them.  Thank you my girls for sharing your wonderful movies with me....My favorite dialogue from yesterday...
  • "You think that being a princess is superficial. That it is about what you wear and how you look. Well it is a little bit about what you look. But more importantly, it is what you have to offer to the world and who you are inside."
